Shop Local – NJ Skate Shop

Uncategorized

Why buy local?

Local skate shops, owners, managers and skaters are advocates that have been actively involved in the evolution of skateboarding. Skate shops sponsor local competitions, keep used boards on hand for those who can’t afford new ones, advocate to build safe skate spots and have worked with local municipalities to relax unfair skateboarding laws.

What is a shop deck?

Shops often commission artists to design the graphics for their brand, shirts, posters and shop decks. Buying a shop deck from your local spot not only supports a local business and artists, but these boards are completely unique to the culture of the local scene.

Our Commitment to our Community

BR Skateboarding hosts free introductory skate sessions for scout troops in Bridgewater and Raritan. As part of that experience, through hands on learning we build a skateboard for charity.

Starting this spring and going forward, BR Skateboarding is closing the circle. Charity setups will be purchased from local businesses, particularly “shop decks” from shops like NJ Skate Shop.
